FILM : Introduction and Research into other short films

Our task was to produce a film approximately 5 minutes long. We had to use a wide range of camera angles e.g. medium shots, long shots to make the film interesting and certain scenes were best suited with certain shots for example an establishing shot of the house helps to show the audience where the action is taking place.
To help us, our group looked at a few short films to give us an idea of what was to be achieved. A few short films I looked at are listed below






These helped me in knowing what was needed in making a short film and how to go about it especially as 5 minutes seemed to short to be a film itself as I had never actually seen short films before. It not only helped me in the better understanding of what camera shots where best suited in which situations but helped me in knowing what way we could challenge the films through example unconventional editing and camera shots.
